Professional PCB Design – from Concept and Prototyping to Production
Our expert design team use Altium Designer for circuit board design.
We design dedicated electronic modules, electronics embedded into enclosures, and complete systems made up of multiple connected devices. Our PCB design projects range from one-off solutions to full-scale production ready electronics.
The development process can include building prototypes and creating dedicated firmware for microcontrollers / microprocessors embedded on the PCB, and developing software to communicate with the device from a computer or IoT web interface.
Our electronic device design process typically consists of the following steps:
Schematic capture
We transform requirements into a schematic.
Throughout the design process, we apply insights gained through years of experience in digital, analog, radio, and power electronics.
Components are carefully selected based on design calculations and requirements.
We perform meticulous schematic reviews, verifying each section and component selection.
PCB board layout
Once the schematic design is finalized, we begin the circuit board design.
In every project, we focus on key electrical and mechanical considerations, which include, but are not limited to:
– Grouping components and traces according to functionality and sensitivity.
– Ensuring proper trace width and spacing for high-current paths and effective heat dissipation.
– Maintaining controlled impedance and length matching to safeguard signal integrity in high-speed applications.
Our PCB designs are created not only for functionality, but for long-term reliability, ease of testing, and scalability into production.
3D modelling
We generate 3D models of the PCB, including all mounted components. This allows for accurate mechanical verification, ensuring that the board fits perfectly into its enclosure whether custom-made or off-the-shelf.
We design for thermal management, such as heatsink placement, ventilation zones, and airflow paths. This process helps us detect and eliminate potential mechanical conflicts early in the design stage.
Once modelling is complete, we carry out a detailed PCB design review.
Prototyping
Prototyping is a crucial step to test functionality of the designs in real-world conditions.
Prototypes are also used to write and test embedded software.
Refining a project is as important as designing it.
Functional testing is a key part of the process. Results of bench and prototype testing highlight refinements and this iterative approach ensures a reliable product.

Software Development
Developing embedded software for the board’s microcontroller is achieved either with prototype PCBs or evaluation boards.
We also create software for computers and other platforms including mobile applications or websites.
